COMMITTEES 
Education
  • Develop and execute all education programs.
  • Oversee and actively and systematically promote the apprenticeship program.
  • Create a course curriculum and schedule to meet member needs and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and execute an outreach program to the schools within our chapter to encourage the establishment of student chapters and resources for our members.
  • Develop and implement an active relationship with existing student chapters.

Legislative and PAC

  • Plan and recommend proactive legislative policies and programs.
  • Participate actively in the legislative action process.
  • Monitor legislative activities at all levels of government.
  • Activate, when needed, a response mechanism to legislative activity.
  • Visit periodically with legislators at all levels of government.
  • Plan and execute a PAC fund-raising event.
  • Communicate with other chapters in our area to stay abreast of changing issues.
  • Attend, by Chairman and any interested members, ABC National Legislative Conf.
  • Build a strong visible partnership with political leaders who support ABC's mission and vision--the Merit Shop Philosophy.
  • Manage PAC funds in strict adherence to all regulations.
  • Organize campaign support for key candidates.

Membership Recruitment and Retention
  • Determine ways to recruit new members.
  • Participate in the recruitment process.
  • Research potential members.
  • Organize and execute an annual recruitment campaign.
  • Plan and execute the chapter's annual membership retention program.
  • Implement and coordinate a mentor program.
  • Encourage and promote the Beam Club.

Safety
  • Plan and execute all safety programs and the annual Safety Expo.
  • Review and adopt new safety program opportunities.
  • Monitor developments in safety regulations.
  • Maintain and update chapter safety library.
  • Plan and execute forums/roundtables on current and proposed regulations and their impact on members.
  • Represent the chapter at local safety councils, ASSE, and other associations.
  • Encourage participation in the S.T.E.P. program.
